Basic Firearms Safety Course
Goals:
*To develop students so that they feel more comfortable with and around firearms and to be able to apply what they learned from this presentation to defend themselves as well as others.
* At the conclusion of this presentation the student will be confident and comfortable with firearms.
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this trainig the students will be able to:
- Identify the principal parts of a firearm, and types of actions.
- Identify the rules for the safe handling of firearms.
- Demonstrate how to safely operate firearms.
- How to grip a firearm.
- Proper stances with sight alignment.
- Familiarization in revolvers, semi-automatic handguns, shotguns, AR-15's.
- Recognize how to apply these lessons on firearm familiarization and to use them when its needed.
- How to work through firearm malfunctions.
